Expend the day visiting the attractions in Phnom Penh, a full of life and enthralling city. Take a cycle trip around the city alongside the picturesque Tonle Sap River, accompany with verbal history of the area. Elegant tree-lined roads and riverfront walkways are souvenir of a long-gone period, however today they are full with life and bustles as motorcycles entwine in and out of traffic and hawkers hawk their products. Get idea into Cambodia’s cultural heritage with a visit to the Royal Palace and nearby Silver Pagoda which is also identified as the Pagoda of Emerald Buddha. Carry on to the graceful National Museum and take in its wide-ranging assortment of Khmer Art. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Take a trip to southwest to Kep, on the way visiting Tonle Bati, a lake south of Phnom Penh, with a beach and the remarkable laterite temple of Ta Prohm. Visit Angkor Borei, a 6th century monument, constructed in laterite by King Rudravarman of Funan. His supporter divinity was Vishnu and many Hindu statues survive from this place. It is one of the few lasting places with traces of the Kingdom of Funan (a kingdom influenced by India and supposed to have stretched as far as southern Burma and Indonesia). Head to nearby Phnom Da, a hill crowned with a primordial temple and five imitation caves with shrines. Overnight in Kep.

Take a pleasant trip via boat to Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsay), an exquisite and peaceful little island situated just about half an hour via boat from Kep, with numerous pleasing beaches and a small fishing community. The sea here is shallow and has a long slope which makes Rabbit Island exceptional for strolling around and swimming. Enjoy the afternoon at relaxation. Overnight in Kep.

Head off in the morning for Kampong Som from Kep, visiting the Sor Soea Caves and Phnom Chhnork alongside the way. Phnom Chhnork is the first cave that visitors see and it is also one of the most important caves. Limestone Mountains speck the backdrop and many contain limestone caves, some decked with striking rock formations and Hindu and Buddhist shrines. Visit Phnom Sasear or “White Elephant Cave”, so named due to limestone formations similar to white elephants. This cave is situated next to a stunning pagoda. Climb the stairs that rise from the side of the limestone extending for an astonishing sight of the countryside. Overnight in Kampong Som.
Kep – Kampong Som

Following refreshments, guests are introduced to all of the ingredients which are fresh from a local morning market. Learn how to prepare three different conventional Khmer cuisines from an English speaking Khmer chef. Enjoy lunch with the food that has just been freshly prepared. Then, enjoy your afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Kampong Som.
