Trip Info

Best time to do this Tour

Spring (March to May)
Spring is an ideal time to tour the Kathmandu Valley, as the weather is warm and inviting, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20°C to 28°C and cooler evenings averaging around 10°C to 15°C. The air is fresh, the skies are generally clear, and the valley comes alive with blossoming flowers, especially vibrant jacarandas and rhododendrons that add a splash of color to ancient courtyards and temple grounds. This season is perfect for exploring the rich heritage of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur on foot, with plenty of daylight to enjoy the art, architecture, and serene hilltop views. Visitors may also experience festivals like Holi and Seto Machendranath Jatra, offering a glimpse into the valley’s joyous and deeply rooted traditions.

Autumn (September to November)
Autumn is widely considered the best time to visit the Kathmandu Valley, thanks to its post-monsoon clarity and pleasantly cool temperatures, which range from 18°C to 26°C during the day. The skies are at their clearest, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and, on a clear day, even the distant snow-capped Himalayas. This season also coincides with Nepal’s grandest festivals, Dashain and Tihar, when the valley is adorned with lights, colors, and cultural performances. It’s a time when both nature and tradition are at their most vibrant, making every temple visit, village walk, or rooftop sunset feel especially memorable.

Transfers & Vehicles

Private Vehicles

Throughout the trip, private vehicles will be used for transfers and sightseeing. These include comfortable cars or SUVs, which are good for navigating both urban and rural areas. These vehicles are chosen for their comfort and reliability, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey between destinations. They are equipped to handle various road conditions and provide a high level of convenience for travelers.

Minivans or Buses

For group travel of more than 8 people Buses will be used and for a group with more than 3 people, Minivans will be used.  These vehicles are suitable for accommodating larger groups and offer ample space for passengers and luggage. Equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seating, these vehicles are designed to enhance travel comfort over longer distances. They also offer better stability and space for scenic drives and excursions.

Food

Nepal offers a delightful culinary experience, blending a rich variety of flavors influenced by its diverse cultures and traditions. Whether you’re craving Western favorites or looking to explore traditional Nepali dishes, Nepal has something to offer for every palate. The Nepali staple meal, known as Dal Bhat, consists of flavorful rice served with lentil soup (dal), accompanied by a range of vegetables, curries, and pickles that bring out the authentic taste of Nepali home-cooked meals. It’s a hearty and nutritious dish, commonly enjoyed by locals for lunch or dinner.

Trying the iconic Momo, which is Nepal’s version of dumplings, is a must. These bite-sized treats are typically filled with minced meat or vegetables, then steamed or fried to perfection. Served with a spicy dipping sauce, momo has become a popular snack or appetizer for both locals and tourists. Another comforting dish to try is Thukpa, a noodle soup that is both flavorful and filling. It’s a savory blend of meat or vegetables, noodles, and broth, perfect for any weather.
