As you move towards Muktinath, which sits at an altitude of 3,700 meters, daytime temperatures drop to around 5 to 15°C, with colder nights that can fall close to freezing. The roads are dry, flights operate more reliably, and the festive atmosphere during Dashain and Tihar adds a cultural richness to the experience.

Spring brings warm days, blooming hillsides, and a fresh energy to the entire route. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, daytime temperatures average between 20 to 25°C, with nights ranging from 10 to 15°C. Muktinath remains accessible during this season, with daytime temperatures around 10 to 20°C and cooler mornings and evenings. The Jeep ride is a thrilling experience, with each Jeep accommodating 4 passengers, ensuring that you have plenty of space for the journey to and from Jomsom. This provides both comfort and a closer connection to the landscape as you navigate the mountain roads, allowing you to take in the breathtaking views along the way.
Nepal offers a delightful culinary experience, blending a rich variety of flavors influenced by its diverse cultures and traditions. Whether you’re craving Western favorites or looking to explore traditional Nepali dishes, Nepal has something to offer for every palate. The Nepali staple meal, known as Dal Bhat, consists of flavorful rice served with lentil soup (dal), accompanied by a range of vegetables, curries, and pickles that bring out the authentic taste of Nepali home-cooked meals. It’s a hearty and nutritious dish, commonly enjoyed by locals for lunch or dinner.
For those wanting to try something iconic, Momo, Nepal’s version of dumplings, is a must. These bite-sized treats are typically filled with minced meat or vegetables, then steamed or fried to perfection. Served with a spicy dipping sauce, momo has become a popular snack or appetizer for both locals and tourists. Another comforting dish to try is Thukpa, a noodle soup that is both flavorful and filling. It’s a savory blend of meat or vegetables, noodles, and broth, perfect for any weather.
