After an early departure from Lhasa, we take a scenic drive to Namtso Lake, one of Tibet’s most revered lakes. Located at an altitude of 4,718m, the lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, offering a serene and stunning landscape. You’ll have time to enjoy the tranquility of the area and take in the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and the Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain Range. After exploring Namtso Lake, we continue our drive to Damxung.
The drive to Damxung is equally scenic, and as we descend from the lake’s high altitude, the terrain shifts to more gently sloping hills and valleys. Once in Damxung, we will check into a local guesthouse for the night, resting in preparation for the next leg of our journey.
