DAY

Upon arrival at the river launch point, we will unload the equipment and conduct a comprehensive safety briefing. After lunch, we head to the starting point for your exciting three-day rafting adventure. The first day begins with a series of Class III rapids, providing a great warm-up. After a couple of hours, we’ll encounter two major Class IV rapids: ‘Small Brother’ and ‘Big Brother.’ Your guide will lead you through team exercises to maneuver the raft efficiently. Safety kayaks will scout the rapids first, followed by the rafts. After navigating these big rapids, we’ll reach the Modi Khola confluence and set up camp on a nearby beach. The evening will be spent relaxing, playing volleyball, or enjoying the serene surroundings.

On our final day, we begin by rafting past the holy village of Seti Beni. Here, the river has deposited a massive boulder in the confluence with a smaller tributary, which locals believe to be sacred. The boulder has become a shrine, attracting worshippers who come to watch and listen to the spectacle of rafting teams navigating the rapids around this holy site. After this short yet spectacular section, we conclude the rafting trip at Mirme, where a bus will be waiting to transport you back to Pokhara, a 105 km drive (approximately 5 hours).

Trip Info
The best seasons for rafting on the Kali Gandaki River are Autumn (September to November) and Spring(March to May). During these periods, the weather is generally dry and the river flow is at its most optimal, offering a perfect balance of thrilling rapids and manageable water levels. These seasons also offer stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, adding to the overall experience. The fall and spring months provide clear skies and mild temperatures, making it the ideal time for rafting in Nepal.
The Kali Gandaki River offers a range of rapids, graded from Class III to IV+. These rapids ensure a technical challenge, with continuous action that keeps paddlers engaged. Class III rapids are ideal for those with some rafting experience, while the Class IV+ sections, such as ‘Refund’ and the ‘Big Brother’ rapids, require more skill and teamwork to navigate. The river’s diverse character—ranging from calm, scenic stretches to intense rapids—makes it an exciting adventure for both novice and seasoned rafters.
