The most majestic and the largest cave in the country Tham Kong Lor Cave which is 7.5 km limestone tunnel through the cliff. In some places, the caves measures about 70-80 m wide while the main cavern reaches up to 100 m high. It attaches two valley separated by a mountain range while the Nam Hin Boun river flows 7 km through the darkness of Tham Kong Lor Cave. Inside the cave, you can take a boat trip that will lead you to vast stalactites hanging from the roof and other magnificent limestone formation. Since you will travel along the dark and massive cave, it would be better if you carried a torch.
This tour offers some of the best and amazing places in Laos: Vientiane, capital and largest city of Laos. Vientiane is home to one of the three bowling alleys in Laos the other two being in Luang Prabang and Pakse. Khounkham which is the best stop for the photography of the river or to get out on the incredible bomb boats made out of huge missile-shaped drop tanks that carried fuel for jets operating overhead during the war. Both of these places have some beautiful sites and as you explore and admire the beauty, you will realize that there is nothing you want to do other than admiring its splendor.

Day 1 Vientiane – Khounkham
Begin from Vientiane by visiting Wat Prabaht and Wat Phonson. On the way to Khounkham, halt to visit Pakkading, Hmong market and View Point to appreciate an extensive and magnificent view of Phou Hin Boun NCBA (Phuphaman Mountain). Continue driving to Khounkham. Overnight in Khounkham.
Day 2 Khounkham
Enjoy a boat trip to the splendid Tham Kong Lor Cave situated in Phou Hinboun NBCA. The cave bends over 7 kilometer long underwater river and it is feasible to trip by boat in the course of the cave passing the legendary Naga Palace, a wider area inside the cave where stalagmites and stalactites shape impressive columns. There is a welcoming spot for swimming, a crystal clear pool at the entry. This pleasure trip also consists of a short visit to Kong Lor village mocated amongst the rice fields and Limestone Mountains. Overnight in Khounkham.
Day 3 Khounkham
Transfer via vehicle to Vientiane from Khounkham.
