Route
Kathmandu-drive to Charaudi put in point-finish at Phisling or Gaighat and return drive to Kathmandu.

Although not the most inspiring river for rafting in Nepal, Trishuli is very much popular several reasons-it is close to Kathmandu and you can do it while on your journey to Pokhara or Chitwan. For a family trip, Trishuli provides a less serious and committing adventure than many of the other rivers. From a rafting point of view there are some good rapids but it is best run, later in the season. Trishuli River has flexibility of put in and take out points, depending on your time . You can do it for 2-3 hours or 1 full day or two days or three days, depending on your interests and availability of time. A standard two days trip is put-in at Charaudi and taken out at Mugling and others continue till Narayangarh to make it a 3 days trip .

    Itinerary

Travel to the River
The journey to the river takes about 3 hours by bus from Kathmandu, 4 hours from Pokhara. Privatey party can take their own transport. From the take out point you can return to Kathmandu or drive to Pokhara or Chitwan Naitonal Park.

On the river
The early sections contain class 2-3 rapids and build up steadily to class 4. 'Teen Devi' is a good class 4 above Benighat. Below here the river is class 3 as far as 'Upset' (4). After this the river winds its way down to Mugling at the Confluence of the Marsyandi.
Other options exist on the Trisuli for kayakers. A bus from Kathmandu to Betrawati or Trisuli bazaar can add another 15-20km of river to a trip. The advantages are that this section is away from the big road. It is predominantly lower in grade though at 2 - 3.

Safety and Equipment Issues.
Safety and security of all our clients is our prime concern. All our guides are licensed, trained in CPR, first aid and advanced river rescue techniques. All our equipment is world class, up to date and carefully maintained. We use Avon self-bailing rafts. We always use safety kayakers on every trip. We prepare all food with the utmost attention to hygiene.
Before your trip you will be invited to an orientation meeting in order to meet the rest of your paddling team, the guide(s) and safety kayakers. At this meeting there will be opportunities for you to ask any questions that you may have and discuss any personal requirements, such as a special diet or medical conditions that could affect your time with us. Upon arrival in put in point, there will again a session of questions and answers. The captain briefs you about the trip of the day, river level, paddling tips and so on before you step into the boat.
We have our own private transportation to take you to and from the river. When our own coach is not available then we provide a privately booked alternative.
We provide plentiful, healthy and hygienically prepared food and drinks.
Along with our high quality self-bailing rafts, we provide helmets, plastic paddles, wetsuits (during winter), lifejackets, dry bags, camera barrels, all necessary safety and medical equipment. Tents and sleeping mats are also provided. Sleeping bags can be supplied upon request. All our equipment is of the highest quality, clean and well maintained
