Route
Kathmandu-Mude Bazaar-Khola Kharka-Doramba Gompa-Bagh Dhunga-Gurase Bhanjyang-Bholung Village-Palanchok Temple-Kathmandu

This is an easy trek without any long steep ascents, and also a very beautiful trekking which starts from Mudey, 6 hours drive from Kathmandu along Kathmandu-Jiri Highway. This route is highly recommended to the beginners, senior trekkers and families who want to trek with their kids as you don't hike more than 500m altitude in one day.

You pass through nice villages inhabited by Sherpa, Tamang and other ethnics, and wander through rhododendron forests which bloom in red and white during spring (March to May). Walking on the ridges, you will often have a beautiful sight on the Himalayan Peaks even as far as Mt. Annapurna in the west and Mount Everest in the east. The views particularly from the sacred top of Sailung Hill are awesome. You will enjoy the magnificent views of wide range of Himalayas and get chance to meet friendly ethnics and understand their culture and socio-economic situation.
