Trishuli Gorkha Trek

13 Days/12 Nights

Kathmandu-Trishuli Bazaar-Betrawati-Kispang-Thulo Chaur-Gonga-Rupchet-Shing La Top-Pangsang La-Bhanjyang-Tipling-Borang-Jharlang-Jemrung-Dhading Besi-Kathmandu

This is a week long walk starts from Trishuli Bazaar-an old famous town to the north of Kathmandu brings through nice and cultural villages with nature to the Nepal's most historical place "Gorkha" -the name of Nepal's origination. This is not very hard trek but very non-touristy, cultural and peaceful. There are no lodges available along the route. So, a complete camping arrangement is necessary. The Himalayan View of giant Ganesh Himal family, Manaslu toward Annapurna range is the most attraction of the tour too.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu - To Betrawati (5 hours bus drive). North of Kathmandu via Trishuli Bazar

Day 02: Betrawati - Kispang (1600m.); 5 hours walk.

Day 03: Kispang - Thulo Chaur (2200m.); 5 hours walk.

Day 04: Thulo Chaur - Gonga (2900m.); 3-4 hours walk.

Day 05: Gonga - Rupchet (3635m.); this is the base camp of Shing La Top; 4 hours walk.

Day 06: Rupchet - Shing La Top (4100m.) - Kharka (2500m.); 7 hours walk.

Day 07: Forest Camp – Pangsang La (4100m.) 6 hours walk.

Day 08: Pangsang-la Bhanjyang-Tipling (2000)

Day 09: Tipling - Borang (1700m.); 6 hours walk

Day 10: Borang - Jharlang (1700m.) 6 hours walk

Day 11: Jharlang - Kintang Phedi (800m.); 6 hours walk.

Day 12: Kintang Phedi - Jemrung (1800m.) 7 hours walk

Day 13: Jemrung - Dhading Besi (700m.) - 4 hours walk

Day 14: Dhading besi - bus drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara or Chitwan (about 3-4 hours)
