Pokhara-Beni-Darbang-Sibang-Gurjaghat-Gurjagaon-Bundzungekharka-Churen Himal Basecamp-Lulang-Khibang-Pakhapani-Beni-Pokhara
Churen Himal (mountain), situated North West from Beni, is a completely isolated trekking destination and is an off-the beaten path abundant with beautiful nature, wild valleys, spectacular views and genuine ethnic people. You will enjoy the spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gurja Himal and Churen Himal. It’s a moderate graded trek, with highest elevation of 3500m at Rupa La, and suitable for any regular people with a strong pair of legs and willingness to walk 5-6 hours a day. This trek will take you inside a region where very few foreigners have been before. You will walk through the rhododendron and pine forests and several villages of Magar ethnic.
Day 01: Drive to Pokhara and continue Beni and stay in a camp.
Day 02: Today, begin trekking and the first day of the trek, we camp near Babichaur.
Day 03: Trek through the historic towns of Darbang to Dharapani.
Day 04: Trek through beautiful terraced fields and traditional villages. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167m)-which is the 7th highest mountain of the world. Overnight at Lumsum.
Day 05: Trek towards-Deorali pass (3, 280m) the first pass of the trek. Camp before the pass.
Day 06: Cross the pass and descend to the camp.
Day 07: Short trek brings us to an isolated village of Gurjagaon. Today, we halt here and spend the rest of day exploring the village and meeting the friendly locals.
Day 08: Take a side day-trip to the west base camp of Gurja Himal
Day 09: Trekking to Darsing Khola.
Day 10: Today, we climb steadily the alpine of 4,500m Budzunge Barra pass with spectacular views and descend to Budzunge Kharka for camping. As we are camping at an altitude around 4,000m, you are likely to experience some mild symptoms of the altitude sickness.
Day 11: Trek to Churen Himal Base Camp at 4,200m-our ultimate destination of this trek
Day 12: Take a day trip to Kaphe Glacier on a small but good trail to the spectacular Churen Sanctuary.
Day 13: A half day for exploring - there is a 5,000m view point to climb - then trek back to Budzunge Kharka.
Day 14: Today, its a long day back to Gurja Gaon Village. You will make it as you are well acclimatized and accustomed now.
Day 15: Struggle once again towards the pass.
Day 16: A descent through beautiful forest along the Simudar Khola brings you to Gurjakot where we eat picnic lunch and then follow the trail through the beautiful forest towards the Jaljala for camping, most probably on its ridge.
Day 17: At the crest of the 3,400m Jaljala there are some small hills to climb for a spectacular Dhaulagiri-Annapurna view.
Day 18: Descending to Muna.
Day 19: Back on familiar trails though the scenic villages to Dharapani.
Day 20: Trek to Tatopani.
Day 21: Trek to Beni.
Day 22: Drive to Pokhara and rest or excursion to Pokhara.
