Spiti Lahaul and Ladakh Jeep Safari

destination nepal

17 Days/16 Nights

Delhi-Shimla-Sarahan-Sangla-Tabo-Kaza-Keylong-Sarchu-Leh-Delhi

The journey of the lifetime begins from the capital City of India. We have a day here to visit the fort and mosques and vibrant bazaars. We take overnight train to the British developed hill resort of Shimla from where we venture into the serene and secluded Kinnaur, Spiti and Lahaul valleys in Western Himalayas and end up in Ladakh-a Little Tibet in India. Lahaul and Spiti are remote Himalayan valleys of Himachal Pradesh, lying on the Indo-Tibet border. Strange, exciting primitive these valleys are unsurpassed in mountain shape, in the rugged beauty of their rocky escapements and the splendor of their snow covered peaks. Although spoken as Lahaul-Spiti as twin valleys, they are completely different from each other in almost everything. Where Lahaul is blessed by nature and nurtured by chandra and bhaga rivers, Spiti on the other hand is like a cold desert. Geologically and archaeologically, Spiti is a living museum. Lahaul is marked a central mass of almost uniformly high mountains and massive glaciers. The two rivers, Chandra and Bhaga which rise on either side of Baralachala flow through the Chandra and Bhaga narrow valleys. Lahaul is also fascinating area of Buddhist art and culture. The monasteries of Lahaul- Spiti are rich repositories of ancient murals; thankas, wood carving and golden images of Padmasambhava. We leave our footprints on the World’s second highest motor able road while traveling to Leh. When in Ladakh you visit some of the most famous monasteries around Leh. The tour will provide you ample opportunity to visit remote valleys, villages and crossing over high mountain passes providing spectacular views of picturesque snow capped peaks, rugged terrain and old monasteries.
