Delhi, Jaipur, Agra
India’s Golden Triangle comprise three cities of North India-Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. Delhi is the capital of India and hence the center of politics, administrative and commercial activities. Not so appealing city for tourism, yet it has some famous sites such as Red Fort, Jame Mosque, Qutub Minar etc. From Delhi, the journey leads you to Agra-the land of Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the modern world, which is simply poetry in marble. Continue the journey to Jaipur-the capital of Rajasthan. En route, visit the remains of the abandoned city-Fahetpur Sikri. Jaipur, famed as the Pink City of India, has palaces and forts with walls and chambers, engraved with stories of the lifestyle of Maharajas, their courage and bravery, friendship and rivalry, their queens and concubines, and so forth.
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi, High Asia Representative will meet you at the airport and you will be transferred to hotel. Take rest to recover jet lag.
Day 02: In Delhi
After breakfast in the hotel, a full day city tour, visiting the sightseeing highlights of Old & New Delhi including Raj Ghat, Chandini Chowk, Jama Masjid, India Gate, President House, Rajpath, Qutab Minar and Humayun’s Tomb.Optional dance & dinner at Chor Bizaare in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi-Jaipur (160miles/04 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. En route, visit the Amer Fort where you will take an elephant ride from the base to the top like the Maharajas did in their time. At Amber fort, you will visit Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Shila Devi Temple, Kesar Kyari Bagh.
After the tour, continue to Jaipiur and check in hotel.
Day 04: In Jaipur
After breakfast, you will set out to explore the Pink City, its palaces and architectures. You will visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), The City Palace-where still resides the Maharaja of Rajasthan, Jantar Mantar etc. In the late afternoon, you will visit the local bazaar which is vibrant with the daily happenings.
Day 05: Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri)-Agra (163 miles/07 hrs
After breakfast, drive to Agra-the glorious city of Taj Mahal. En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri-a city built in red sandstone by Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son-now a deserted city. A royal city perfectly preserved, Fatehpur Sikri provides a marvelous escape into the past. Imposing gateways and light- hearted palaces were built in red sandstone within this fortified city only to be abandoned a few years later. Among its much architectural game are the places for his queens - Jodha Bai, Mariyam and his Turkish sultana, built in varying styles, each perfect in itself. Later proceed for Agra. On arrival, check into the Hotel and take a rest in the evening.
Day 06: In Agra
In the morning, you will visit the Taj Mahal, the biggest attraction of this trip. This is one of the 7 Wonders of the modern world and is the most extravagant monument ever maid for love. To people the world over, the Taj Mahal, mausoleum of the Mughal Empress Mumtaz Mahal is synonymous with India. Followed by a trip to Red Fort, which has been the seat of Mughal rulers for several years. The fort has palaces with pavilions, gardens, mosques, baths etc. Rest of the day is free to pursue independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Agra-Delhi (125 miles/05 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Delhi and you will complete the Golden Traingle. You will spend the rest of day free to pursue independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Delhi-Departure
In time, transfer to air-port for flight to onward destination. End of Services.
