Postak started out his career in tourism in 1993 as a Naturalist in Royal Chitwan National Park (Nepal). He later joined a Dutch tour operator as a tour leader, and towards the end of 1997, he founded an independent company called Plan Holidays in Kathmandu, which he headed 7 years until he immigrated to the USA in 2005.

He has wide-ranging experience in organizing trips to the whole of Nepal, Bhutan, the Indian Himalayas and Tibet, and has led several trips himself to those regions.

Postak now lives in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota with his wife and two children, and promotes High Asia Tours in the USA and Canada.

Walter Somers studied Indian philosophy, is an advisor to the Nepali community in Belgium, and acts as our representative on the European market. For him and his wife Jenny, Nepal is a second homeland.

Walter and Jenny have trekked the Annapurnas in Nepal, Markha Valley in India, K2 in Pakistan, and Mount Everest and Mount Kailash on the side of Tibet.

Soft spoken and patient, Walter and Jenny are both happy to share their knowledge and experience of the mountains and its peoples with potential travellers.

Dev Raj Nepal, known as "Dave" among our travelers, has a Master's Degree in Business Studies from Tribhuwan University of Kathmandu, Nepal. He has experience in many areas such as finance, air ticketing etc.

He is also a licensed Tour Guide and takes the opportunity to lead the Tour Groups whenever possible.At High Asia Tours, Dave basically looks after the operations and guest relation departments. He is the first person you want to contact if you have any questions or concerns regarding your reservation.

Sophia Yi is the head of our successful operations in Tibet and China, and has more than 15 years of experience in tourism.

She is attentive to every detail and treats every customer with the highest regard. For her, tourism is not merely a business. It is her life. Although she has her offices in Chengdu (China), she has a great love for Tibet and the Tibetan people, and has made Lhasa her second home.

Sanjeep has trekked widely in Nepali, Indian and Tibetan Himalayas. He has lead several trekking trips to Everest, the Annapurnas, Langtang and Mustang in Nepal, Mount Kailash in Tibet and Ladakh and Himachal areas of India.

Sanjeep has completed various trekking related trainings. He loves to explore the areas untrodden, and designs and develop interesting trekking itineraries. Sanjeep is a skilled, friendly and easy going person.

Dora is based in Lhasa and our chief of operations in Tibet. She has more than 12 years of experience in Tibet Tourism.

It is her job to make sure that all our Tibet travelers get good accommodation, guidance and transport, and that you fully enjoy your trip in Tibet. It is thanks to her knowledge, experience and hard work that we have a long list of satisfied customers.
