Early reservation
In order to secure your places on internal flights and accommodation and to book the best of the guides available, an early booking is always recommended.
Payment Schedule
Tour Deposit: USD 150
If your trip involves internal air tickets, we may have to get the tickets issued within the deadline given by the airlines and we may request you the cost of the ticket along with the tour deposit.
After we receive the tour deposit, we process the booking of internal air tickets and hotels, and will get back to you with the confirmation within a week. If some internal airfares require immediately to be issued, we will ask you to wire the payment for.
Final Payment: The balance and final payment is 60 days prior departure.
The payment schedule may vary with customized and private trips on case to case basis.
Payments more than USD 500 must be made by wire transfer or bank check or cashier's check.
Cancellation and refund
Notice of cancellation and refund request must be received in written form.
Cancellation charges
90 days prior departure: USD 150 (Tour Deposit)
60-89 day's prior departure: USD 250 or 25% of the land cost whichever is higher
45 days to 59 days prior departure: USD 450 or 50% of the land cost whichever is higher
30 days to 44 days prior departure: USD 600 or 75% of the land cost whichever is higher
Less than 30 days: 100%
Cancellation and refund of air tickets cost will be as per rules and regulations of the concerned airlines plus a service charge of USD 25 per segment will be levied.
Cancellation terms and conditions of certain services may vary which will be informed separately.
No partial refund will be granted on unused land portion once tour has begun for any reason whatsoever. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended. Once you have been confirmed on a trip that requires a medical certificate signed by a doctor, normal cancellation penalties apply if your doctor does not sign the certificate. We highly recommend that all clients purchase trip cancellation insurance.
High Asia Tours reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient signup or logistical problems that may impede trip operations. The refund of all land payments received shall release High Asia Tours, Inc. from any further liability. High Asia Tours must normally make substantial payments to its suppliers (hotels, transportation companies, etc.) far in advance of the scheduled embarkation date. If a trip is canceled due to force majeure (acts of God, war, labor strikes, earthquake, flooding, etc.), High Asia Tours, Inc. will promptly refund the portion of the trip cost not already advanced to suppliers and use its best efforts to recover and refund the balance as promptly as possible. However, High Asia Tours, Inc, does not guarantee recovery of any or all of the advance payments made, and our use of best efforts to recover these payments will not include the institution of any legal proceedings in foreign jurisdictions. High Asia Tours, is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for a canceled trip (e.g., non refundable advance purchase air tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements should the trip member have embarked prior to the scheduled group departure date.
Claims for refund for services not rendered must be accompanied by a statement from the Tour Manager/Guide or local High Asia Tours representative certifying exactly the services not rendered. Voluntary non-usage of hotel accommodations, tour features and services are non refundable or exchangeable for other accommodations, tour features and services. Travel insurance, visa fee, and visa handling fee are non-refundable. Since most airline tickets are discounted in High Asia Tours tour packages, refund may be subject to penalty from supplier/airline, may not be in full face value, and may require prepayment of processing fee to High Asia Tours. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process refund, and longer for airline ticket refund.
Trip Member Responsibilities
Trip members have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. Trip members are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the trip. Trip members are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the itinerary and pre-departure information packets sent by High Asia Tours, Inc. and for bringing the appropriate clothing and equipment as advised therein.
Limitations of liability
In many cases, suppliers of tour services are independent contractors. For example, we use independent ground operators, tour guides, hotels, transportation companies, drivers, airlines, and other suppliers. Because we do not own, operate, manage, control, or supervise these entities, we cannot be liable for any acts or omissions, including any negligence, gross negligence, or reckless or willful acts, on their part. High Asia Tours, its owners, agents, directors, shareholders, and employees assume no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or death to person or property arising from the negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person who is to or does provide goods or services for this trip or for the action or inaction of any other third party. Without limitation, High Asia Tours is not responsible for acts of God, accident, equipment failures, vehicle accidents, illness from food or otherwise, detention, assaults, theft or criminal activity, annoyance, delays, quarantine, strikes, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations, and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well being of the passengers. The right is reserved to substitute hotels, alter the itinerary, and reverse the order of places to be visited. You will be informed of any necessary changes in a timely fashion.
On advancement of deposit to High Asia Tours, the depositor therefore agrees to be bound by the above recited terms and conditions. These are partial conditions. Your participation is contingent on the full list of terms specified in the four-page Participant Information Form sent to you after placing a deposit on your program
